Prager Metis CPAs, LLC seeks an Business Manager for the Business Management practice group in our New York City location.  We seek a self-motivated professional with a genuine desire to embrace this challenging career opportunity to work in a friendly, team-oriented environment while taking on a variety of assignments.

The Manager, Business Management Services will be responsible for ensuring the productivity, efficiency, and quality of business management operations as well as co-creating strategic goals for the future. The ideal candidate will be a proven leader able to provide guidance that enhances performance in a manner which incorporates the company’s vision and culture. The goal is to ensure the growth and delivery of our company’s activities to drive sustainable development and long-term success.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Account Manager for several high level clients of the firm
  • Oversee AMs/AAs on a daily basis:
  • Review recurring books
  • Assist with entries
  • Manage and assign department projects
  • Supervise the work of AMs/AAs
  • Provide feedback and counsel to improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Hire and train new AMs/AAs on Prager Metis’ procedures and operations
  • Implement projects for business management department, such as “client specific playbook”.
  • Create and oversee medical billing department
  • Evaluate and deliver staff reviews annually, and as needed
  • Oversee templated online project management – i.e., new baby, new client intake, etc.
  • Implement business management plans and strategies consistent with Prager Metis’ goal achievement
  • Ensure that Prager Metis has adequate and suitable resources to complete its activities (e.g., people, material, equipment etc.)
  • Organize and coordinate operations in ways that ensure maximum productivity
  • Maintain relationships with clients/partners/vendors/suppliers as requested
  • Ensure compliance with legal rules and guidelines

Professional skills and educational requirements:

  • Proven experience as account manager or comparable role
  • Proven supervisory experience
  • Proven ability to organize people and processes  and an ability to lead groups toward a single goal
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and leadership skills.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Must be detail-oriented
  • BSc/BA in business management or relevant field; MSc/MA is a plus
  • Extensive knowledge of DataFaction
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to adapt to new software programs as needed
